The Rose Room team has traveled to Paris Fashion Week togather with one of our Stylist program Students! We had the opportunity to ask her some inspiring questions — come along!

Let’s hear from Tilda Mellinger:
Attending Paris fashion Week feels like a dream and a significant milestone achieved. I am fully aware that it will require a great deal of effort and dedication, but that is the essence of fashion week.
I am thrilled to experience fashion week from the industry perspective and to be part of the authentic journey. I look forward to returning to New York enriched with new experiences and in-spirations, which I am confident I will gain!

How have the skills you gained in the course prepared you for this opportunity?
The skills I’ve gained so far I believe have helped me to calm my nerves, because I feel like I have more of an understanding of the industry and what it requires to be a stylist. I understand more about how to go about the job and what is fundamental to making the job as good and organized as possible. Learning these things in advance prepares me for how to do the best job I can but it has also taught me what could go wrong, but if that would happen I feel like the skills I’ve learned will make me preferred for that, if something would happen, which I really don’t hope!

Tildas Pro-Tip: Reach Out!
“Don’t hesitate to reach out to industry professionals, whether brands, individuals, or friends. Demonstrate your passion and readiness to contribute. Building connections is essential—it’s not about quantity but about taking the initiative. Showing genuine interest makes you stand out, and asking for help is perfectly acceptable; we all need support at times.”
