The Rose Room team has traveled to New York to welcome our newest student in The Stylist Program! We had the opportunity to ask her some inspiring questions—let’s hear what she had to share!
Tell us – who are you, and which course are you enrolled in?
My name is Tilda Mellinger. I am 23 years old and moved to New York in the fall of 2024, having previously lived in Stockholm.
This January, I am starting the one-year program, The Stylist Program, at The Rose Room.
What is your best tip for starting a successful career in the fashion industry?
My best tip for succeeding in the fashion industry is to stay true to yourself and follow your own path—this applies to everything from who you are as a person to how you dress. What you project outwardly will be noticed and will give you the opportunity to stand out and be seen.
Additionally, it is extremely important to ask for help, whether through coaching (such as this program) or by utilizing the contacts you create and reaching out to them. I believe this will take me far!
How do you think the course will help you achieve your goals?
I have always known that I want to work in the fashion industry and express my creativity as a stylist. However, the fashion industry is also a very demanding field, and it can feel overwhelming to know where to start or how to proceed.
I chose to join The Rose Room because I have a strong belief in their expertise and experience, which I am confident will provide me with the guidance I need. I believe the program will especially help me feel more confident and secure in my skills as I navigate the industry as a stylist.
